A Science Slam is a fun, engaging event where scientists and researchers present their work in an entertaining and accessible way to a general audience. The main goal is to make complex scientific topics understandable and interesting for non-experts. Lukas Schleicher presented his topic of 2D resonators - thin layers of suspended membranes - with culinary ambiguity of chips and its extreme ratio of a croissant's delicate layers to its full structure.
