A new invited paper has just been published. Sebastian Hübner teamed up with with collaborators from the company KETEK GmbH to improve the efficiency and signal strength of X-ray detectors by developing very thin ultra-strong graphenic carbon membranes. The project is sponsored by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology.
The paper "Design and properties of low-energy X-ray transmission windows based on graphenic carbon" describing the solution has just been published in the journal physica status solidi (b) and an open-access preprint can be downloaded here.
