Surface Engineering for Colloidal Stability, Tissue Targeting, and Material/Neural Interface Control
We are interested in studying how tissue responds to wireless neural devices, and controlling this interaction using surface modification. For nanoscale and injectable materials, we look at colloidal stability and tissue targeting, with the goal of creating neural devices that are implanted nonsurgically. For thin film-based devices, the material interface is key to regulating tissue responses and limiting device failure over time.
