George Al Boustani embarked on his academic journey at the American University of Science and Technology, earning a bachelor's degree in computer and communication engineering with commendable minors in biomedical engineering and biomedical science in 2016. It was during this time that his fascination with developing human/brain-computer interfaces and delving into the enigmatic workings of the brain flourished. In 2020, he added an M.Sc. in Neuroengineering from the Technical University of Munich's faculty of electrical engineering and information technology to his academic repertoire. In 2021, George embarked on his doctoral journey within the neuroelectronic group at the Technical University of Munich. His research agenda encompasses the realms of non-invasive electrode fabrication, hybrid human/brain computer interfaces, and biowearable technologies. At the crux of his research lies a pursuit of strategies to elevate the brain-computer interface paradigm. From refining electrode fabrication techniques to navigating real-world scenarios, implementing advanced machine learning methodologies, and ensuring the viability of long-term neural recordings. Notably, his current investigations delve into techniques and materials for the rapid fabrication of dry electrodes tailored for non-invasive electrophysiology measurements. These electrodes are meticulously designed to thrive in real-world settings, including bustling factories such as neuro-automation and critical healthcare environments such as stroke detection.
