Defne Tüzün began her academic journey in electrical engineering at TU Munich in 2016, completing both her bachelor's and master's degrees at this institution. During her master's program, she focused on developing porous thin mesh cortical electrodes for brain implantation as part of the Neuroelectronic group. Following her master's graduation in 2023, Defne transitioned into a PhD program within the same group. Her doctoral research primarily explores the interfacing of peripheral nerves in vivo, aiming to advance the field of neuroelectronic applications.
